To make sure we have a clear understanding about what I mean when I say "Easy Homemade Soap" or "Natural Homemade Soap," let's break it down one word at a time in reverse order, starting with the word "soap."
I am using the word "soap" loosely here to mean any cleaner. Yes, I do mean bars of bath soap and liquid hand soap; but I also mean body wash, shampoo, facial cleanser, laundry soap, dish soap, and all purpose household cleaners. Our skin is in contact with all of these products and we inhale the scents from all of their ingredients when we use them. So I will include them all.
"Homemade" obviously means products you make yourself in your own home. However, many home-based entrepreneurs make handcrafted soaps to sell. I plan to invite them to advertise on my blog. Many other companies started out in their own kitchens but grew into larger facilities yet continue to use their original home recipes. I will be reviewing and promoting those products that I use myself.
"Natural" refers to ingredients that come from nature. Most will be plant-based and preferably organic; although, some soaps are made with milk. Because the skin is the largest organ of the body and the first line of defense against disease, we need to use the purest ingredients possible on our skin. To reduce the indoor air pollution in our homes, we must use the purest ingredients possible to clean our homes.
"Easy" means that the recipes that I share will have just a few ingredients and a few simple steps. Not many of us have the time to make all of the personal care and household cleaning products that we use. So I will make it "easy" for you to go as natural and green as you desire by providing information and resources for ingredients, supplies, equipment, and ready-made products.
There you have it! Easy Homemade Soap will be providing recipes and recipe books for easy homemade soap and related products. Here I will be sharing information about the dangers of some of the chemical ingredients used in commercial products and the benefits of many of the popular ingredients in natural products. At www.NaturalHomemadeSoap.net you will find the resources for making your own homemade soap along with ready-to-use natural products that I have tried and like for myself and use in my own home.
